it is abstraction! :-) no, don't worry, I am not going to drift off in that direction... when I was scanning medium format film the other day, this was one of the film ends and I thought I scan it and see what it looks like scanned... but I regard abstraction in photography in the same way as Francis Bacon described his attitude towards abstract paintings... he said something like that abstract paintings skirt the issue, they are decorative at best but have not much content…
