Don’t complain without reason
A very wise (and wealthy) man once said to me: ”Don’t complain without reason, otherwise God will give you a reason to complain…”
This is probably so true… however, sometimes life can be so frustrating… you feel trapped in circumstances, in seemingly random events affecting your life, or other people’s behaviour influencing your course of actions, which might render your life at stages very dismal and cumbersome… add to that your own stupid and egotistical behaviour and you have a recipe for being miserable and prone to complaining… But it can probably get worse…
So another friend of mine suggested that a “time of challenges” could also be considered as part of a purgatory, a cleansing ritual to rid oneself off one’s past – professional life, failed relationships, unrequited love - … he suggested that one could emerge purified, cleansed and purged… and ready for something new, better, more fulfilling…
If I could only believe that…
