Dubai (2)

The internet experience in Dubai has been somewhat between Uganda and the Stone Ages... but this morning I seem to have hit a sweet spot... so I am using this opportunity to post some initial (visual) impressions from my stay in Dubai... still trying to make sense of this place... it is part metropolis/sim city... part non-descript American suburb, part megalomania, part contradiction in terms: a thriving water hole in the desert ...and it is part... well, what? I am still trying to find out...
